D3200Stories-DanWolf-400x400_1an Wolf is an actor, rapper, writer, director, content producer and educator. His work crosses artistic and cultural borders to combine conventional theater styles with the themes, language, music, history and aesthetics of the Hip-Hop generation. Dan is a founding member of the critically acclaimed Hip Hop music and theater collective Felonious and a resident artist at Intersection for the Arts. Dan is also the Creative Content Producer for 3200 Stories, an online publication of the Jewish Community Center of San Francisco, where he creates original content that instigates new ways of cultural exploration and expression.   His play Angry Black White Boy, based on the novel by Adam Mansbach, premiered at Intersection for the Arts and was named Top Ten Best Theater Plays by the San Francisco Chronicle and San Francisco Examiner.  In 2010 Dan was named to the inaugural Big Jewcy list by Jewcy.com and is a alumni of the Association of Performing Arts Presenters Emerging Leadership Institute (2011) and Emerging Arts Professionals -‐ SFBA (2010/2011).

Felonious headshotsMUSICAL GUEST: Tommy “Soulati” Shepherd is an actor, playwright, composer, rapper, drummer and beatboxer. Tommy is one of the co-founders of the live hip hop collective Felonious.  Felonious  has performed throughout the world and has created original, theatrical productions as a resident of Intersection for the Arts. Tommy works actively in local theater, and tours internationally with Marc Bamuthi Joseph in various works. He is a member of the esteemed music group Antique Naked Soul, as well as the award-winning kids’ educational hip-hop group, Alphabet Rockers. He recently performed in the Capacitor Dance Company premier of Synaptic Motion at YBCA. Future projects include composing and musically directing Xtigone at African American Shakespeare company directed by Rhodessa Jones (2015), the Live City Revue project with Felonious and Campo Santo (2015), the release of an Alphabet Rockers web series and Antique Naked Soul music video release in February 2015.

His sketch comedy group Mission Ctrl has been featured in the last 5 SF Sketchfests and still doesn’t get any goddamn respect. He recently joined KML’s talent pool and his creative career has officially hit its nadir with his role as asshole santa.

With deep respect for the Taiko art form, we strive for artistic excellence in creating an exhilarating musical experience for our audiences. We ground our practice in hard work, collaboration, and a fusion of innovation and tradition. As we continue to grow under our unique training system, and draw from both Japanese and American influences, our group aspires to bring a youthful and energizing sound to the stage. Our name Jiten, or “self-powered”, is inspired by our core value of consistently supporting each other in order to innovate faster and grow our collective energy. Jiten is proud to be an affiliate member of the Buddhist Church of San Francisco.

unnamedSPECIAL GUEST: Fauxnique is the drag queen alter-ego of artist/choreographer/dancer Monique Jenkinson. Lauded for her ‘campy, intellectual juxtaposition of pop culture and high art’ and ‘rare personable flair for drama’, Fauxnique has performed everywhere in SF from the Stud Bar to the de Young Museum and in New York, New Orleans, Seattle, Provincetown, Reykjavik, Amsterdam, Edinburgh, London and Rome. She  made history as the first cis-woman to win the infamous Miss Trannyshack Pageant, was a 2012 Irvine Fellow at the de Young Museum, a GOLDIE winner, SF Weekly’s ‘Best Performance Artist of 2010,’ and one of 7X7 Magazine’s ‘Hot 20.’
