Sketch Comedy Acting Fundamentals
Ever wanted to put on an elephant costume and enact a scene from A Few Good Men? Ever watched Chris Farley and thought: “I can do that”? Ever just wanted to get up on your feet and try out the wacky, wonderful world of sketch comedy? Well now’s your chance!
For the past two years, Killing My Lobster has been teaching people just like you the fundamentals of sketch acting. Whether you’re a complete newbie to the stage or you’re a seasoned actor looking to hone your comedic chops, we’ve got a spot for you in this class. Working with classic KML sketches, you’ll learn how to find the central premise of a sketch, create larger-than-life characters, and develop truth and believability on stage. You’ll also delve into improv, timing, and physical comedy. Expect a supportive, encouraging, and hilarious environment. Course ends in a final performance for friends and family.
