Summer: Intro to Sketch Comedy Writing

For the past few years, we’ve taught folks of all experience levels the fine, fun, and fantastic art of writing sketch comedy. KML Sketch Writing 1 is a great way to put your funny into words. You’ll learn the fundamentals of sketch writing as well as techniques for developing your comedic voice. You’ll practice short form comedic writing of all kinds and work with your classmates to create a full-length, themed sketch comedy class script-in-hand reading performed by KML actors.

This class is open to writers of any experience level, and promises to create an environment where all ideas and perspectives are welcome. Expect a supportive, encouraging, and hilarious atmosphere.

Please note: There are 6 classes spread over 7 weeks with a “skip week” for students to work on rewrites. Also, the instructor will contact all enrolled students 1 week prior to the first class to provide relevant class information.
