SKETCH WRITING, LEVEL 2, BEGINNING NEXT WEEK!

There's still time to enroll in what is shaping up to be an awesome intermediate-level sketch comedy writing class, taught by KML co-founder Paul Charney. Sketch Level II begins next week! To learn more about it, read below...

Writing comedy other people find funny is hard, but writing and producing comedy YOU find funny is almost harder, and yet more important. Because without the latter, ain't no way you're gonna do the former.

Welcome to the world of Sketch Comedy. Killing My Lobster styles. We've brought you a few introductory classes in the fine art of sketch comedy writing. Now it's time to take it to the next level. In a 5-week intensive class taught by one of the cofounders of KML and beginning mid-May, students will hone and sharpen their comedic voices through realizing their own funny ideas. Also on tap: understanding and becoming familiar with the process of translating what they find funny... into what others might/will/can't refuse but to also find funny. THIS SUMMER: KML DOES A TIME WARP

KML is proud to announce that our next show is about history. Your history. Our history. The mystery that is history. July 10 through 27 at San Francisco's Dance Mission Theater join us as we present KML Springs Forward, Falls Back, an all-star pajama-jammy jam tribute to cavemen, pilgrims, founding fathers, founding mothers, flappers, hep cats, presidents, prime ministers, ne'er-do-wells and might-have-beens--the greats and the not-so-greats we all learned about in our history books and struggle to recall with the help of Wikipedia.

The madness is directed by KML vet Andy Alabran and features music by Olive Mitra and Mike Smith (KML's For the Very First Time and Faces the Music). Watch this space for more info on the production coming soon.

CLIP O' THE WEEK: Charlie On Charlie

When does a Charlie Rose interview get really weird? When Charlie Rose interviews himself. Microsoft. Yahoo. Google. Microsoft and Yahoo.

A brilliant clip edited by Andrew Filippone Jr. Watch right now.
