KML New Plays
Killing My Lobster is proud to be the recipient of a Wattis Foundation grant for new play development and production. In 2006, KML launched into the genre with the world premiere of Peter Sinn Nachtrieb's Hunter Gatherers, which received an extended three-month run at San Francisco's Thick House Theater and went on to win both the Will Glickman Award for the best new play of the Bay Area (2006) and the Steinberg Award for the best new play produced outside of New York City. In 2009, Matt Pelfrey's darkly comedic world premiere of Pure Shock Value exposed the absurd lengths people would go to in the name of fame. Look to KML to surprise, delight, and titilate your senses in its next original play (to be announced), scheduled for 2011.
