Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers   PDF  Print  E-mail

Wow.
 Wow.
 Wow.
 2003 feels...
 exactly like...
 2002.

I even got to see the continuation of the same movie.
Of course I am speaking of the second part of Master Jackson's trilogy - Lord of the Rings The Two Towers.

Sidebar - I was in New York over the holidays.  I was on the phone with a friend making dinner plans.  She said, what do you want to do?  I said, whatever's fine with me. She asked if I had seen The Twin Towers.  I was not sure what to say, but then eeked out - you mean Ground Zero?  She said no, the movie.  I had no idea what she was talking about.

But I did get to see The Two Towers and I can say this: it's long.  Unfortunately I felt the middle of this.  Meaning I could tell it was a bridge movie and that nothing major would really happen. Gollum is cool in one scene.  Methinks he doth moan a bit too much though.  And the tree guys?  C'mon they should be throwing down some serious earth magic, not big boulders.  Give Sauron some power of the planet stuff, that's what I wanted to see.  All in all I still held my Mr. Pibb in the whole time (kidney failure here I come.  I might as well sign up for an organ transplant, so I can get on the list early).  I do suggest you go see it.  But then go buy the Paulstation game.  It is much cooler. Also calling it Paulstation is fun.

Also - I am swearing off mentioning anything resembling a terd or poop vittle for all of 2003.  Hope ya stick with me.

 HAPPY BEW-YEAR!

Bewley,
 Out.
