End of Summer Movie Season - Progress Report

Bewley has taken the summer to take in..well..not the movies, cause they have been mostly huge sucking doopods. Hey Hollywood, give me something to watch!
In exchange for the doldrums of August, when I honestly cannot decide between The Good Girl and staying at home digging out ingrown hairs in my beard, I have been doing the following:
-Going to a nudist resort in Calistoga.
-Driving around in my new sports car (can you spell CAMARO? Well move some letters around and you get COROLLA! Yeah, ya terdburglars- TOYOTA is for me! HOT HOT HOT!)
-Watching a ton of DVDs.
So here in lieu of my summer roundup, is the best DVD bets for the next couple of weeks as you wait for Swimfan to open. I just said, "Wait for Swimfan to open." ARGHHH Hollywood?
Amelie, who cares - I fell asleep. She is a babe though. She + Corolla + nudist resort! Oui, oui!
Hard Eight, one of Paul Thomas Anderson - sorry P.T. (as in Cruiser or Barnum) - first films. Great. Hard boiled action all the way, and that sad weighted look in everyone's eyes. Gwenyth I almost like you.
Moulin Rouge - okay I saw this one already, but worth a second trip - but hey - on the extras a little less of the same footage huh Baz? I mean you shot a lot of film bud, didn't ya? Oh and check the choreographer out on this. Anyone who is familiar with my caricature of Fosse lovers has to watch this guy - balding, fat, and in a tank top - and his nick name is Cha Cha! Too much!
Waiting for Guffman. Alright. Yes. I have seen this film about 80 times. With and without commentary. Check it again - and watch that baseball clip that was deleted. The best work in the whole film.
PS - if you do not own a DVD player - fuck you. Get with the program.
