Austin Powers in Goldmember

Just cause I write about crap, doesn't mean I like to see it.
Or even watch a lot of jokes about it.
Or watch an entire franchise about it.
Which brings me to Austin Powers in Goldmember. It has one great line - and it is so strange.
Michael Caine as Nigel Powers, Austin's dad, spies Mini me, and says something like, 'Oh, I thought I smelled cabbage.' ???!!! Awesome. That makes no freaking sense and I love it.
All the rest was the same joke. And most of them are gross. The skin eating Goldmember - yuck. Even the entire high school class that was there for the opening day matinee in Berkeley had grumblings of "that sucked" or "not as good as the first one".
The real trick that the franchise has pulled over on us is that they space them so long in between that I forget that I never really liked the first one to begin with. So there you have it, a disappointing third installment, but thankfully the last.
Hang up the phone, because this is Bewley -
