Bewley is busy directing this show about love, but he took some time in the comforts of my movie pal Sal's couch along with wayward Canadian's Heather and Liisa to watch Margaret Cho's I'm The One That I Want.
It gets the Bewley DVD pick of the week.
Packed with extras this is a sweet little disk sure to delight. It was pretty impassioned and not at all as funny as I thought it might be - but it was a decent bit of emotional clarity and insight into this San Francisco native's ups and downs in the Hollywood crap machine. That is a long sentence.
I am a little distracted now, because that crazy Cantonese News program is on KUSF right now. What the hell are they saying? It is a bunch of whistles and clicks interrupted by the cheesiest easy listening as sung by an asian Robert Goulet.
Speaking of that poo spewer Goulet - how does this guy have a career? What has he done? Why does he dye his hair? South Pacific? Camelot? C'mon. Show me some fucking range, Goulet! Yeah I'm talking to you, you lousy crown wearing crooner.
Until next week when I catch up with those Dragons of Reign of Fire (boy that looks bad, huh?)
Bewley. Out.
