Taking a page out of the playbook from Comrade Wolanske and Comrade Vogl, I considered what I have learned from my brother, who is currently incarcerated in Corcoran State Penitentary.
1. On the inside, a pretty mouth is not an asset.
2. The man is not your friend.
3. If you only have one phone call, don't use it to call your ex-wife.
4. Manson is a fucking nut. He ain't fakin' it and he scares the shit out of me.
5. You can either get a bitch or be a bitch; there is no middle ground.
6. When you were a kid, spending time in a box was fun. Not so much in prison.
7. Get a job in the laundry, the smell of fabric softener reminds you of home.
8. If you thought that having a good roommate in college was cool, you have no idea how important it is in prison.
9. You can sit in your own shit for about 10 minutes, then all you want to do is cry. (Hey, that's the same thing Wolanske learned from his 18 month old neice!)
10. "Don't drop the soap," isn't just something funny to say... it's a creed to live by. |
