 MELANIE CASE (actor/writer) has been working in comedy for the past 10 years. She graduated in Theater from UCLA’s School of Theater, Film, and Television. She studied improv. with Comedy Sportz and The Second City Training Center in NY, and is the original founder of The Lunatic Players (MA High School). She recently performed in a reading of Vrooommm! at Theatreworks and in Peter Sinn Nachtrieb’s reading of his new play Lamb and Jelly. She has performed in numerous shows in New York off- and off-off-Broadway, understudied at Berkeley Rep. and produced and co-wrote her two-woman show, The Sho Show, in Los Angeles. She also co-wrote, co-directed, and co-produced a film about vending machines, entitled Product. She teaches improvisation at ACT’s Young Conservatory. You may also NOT recognize her (since no one has) from the recent Toyota Prius commercial with former 49er’s quarterback Steve Young, in which she plays a mime at a bus stop.
