Devourer of crime novels? Smarmy, know-it-all second year law student? Court TV buff? Or do you think you can pull off the perfect crime? Well here's your chance to show off your game on L&O:DIY, a ground-breaking new series that combines Law & Order with the unscripted moments of reality television. Each week, a real life crime is committed by an 'armchair' criminal and then investigated by 'armchair'detectives. If the 'criminals' are caught by the 'detectives,' they are prosecuted and defended by 'armchair' lawyers in our state-of-the-art, 23,000 SF "Courtroom Stadium" presided by none other than former Los Angeles County Judge Lance Ito! And forget about a jury consisting of 12 of your peers, these trials are decided by you, the national TV audience via a 1-900 call in number. Cast your verdict of guilt or innocence as many times as you like during the allotted selection period. The following week, votes are tabulated and if a guilty verdict is returned, both the criminal and the defense attorney serve the time for the crime. If the verdict is innocent, the prosecution attorney and the detectives will serve the time. Winning attorneys will receive their choice defense or prosecution appointments in the district of their choice. Hosted by Ryan Secrest (for the Prosecution) and Carson Daily (for the Defense) and featuring Court Reporter Suzy Kolber.
