Our trip to and performance at the Vancouver Sketchfest 2006 is over, but Vancouver is still warm in our hearts. The
weekend was not enough, but we will always have these memories….
1. Bizarre Canadian commercials, and Andy Alabran re-enacting the “stop feeding them cheese, stop cooking with cheese” ad. 2. An audience member after the show telling me that our set was “like a Toblerone: delicious”.
3. Getting
super pumped to cross the border while bumping Michael Jackson’s “Black
or White” only to be met by a border guard with an undecipherable
accent. When he asks us “ships and chips?” we all sit with full blank
face for about 15 seconds.
4. Shaye getting very serious to tell us that she needs to take a 'doo dumpy.' 5. All
of the great energy and support of the fest, and all the wonderful
friends we made: Paul, Charlie, Kitty, John, Morgan, Rael, Mike, the
list goes on and on...
6. Andrew Bancroft’s transition from the end of
“Door Hangers” into his rap. Going from civil war heartbreak, repeating
“you fuckin’ bitch” while taking off his clothing to reveal his gold
lame outfit as the Eminem beat fades in.
7. Gettin’ down on the dance floor with our shirts off at local gay club ‘Celebrities’.
8. Nick showing us the photo he took of himself on his cell phone in Seattle eating a pancake larger than his head.
9. Hitting up the Pita Pit after 3 am... two nights in a row!
10. Taking twenty minutes to pay every bill we received, attempting to evenly
split American dollars, Canadian dollars, and debit cards.
Like it or not Canada, we will be back, oh we will be back………..
