Beloved KML pals Paco Romane (he of The Romane Event at the MakeOut Room) and the band Tartufi (voted best local act by the SF Bay Guardian) have joined forces as the supergroup The Owies. And guess what, bandito? They're holding a School of Rock for young'uns at KML Headquarters.
If you have a child or know one who wants to learn how to shred like Angus Young, or simply play music in a fun collaborative environment, read below. Classes began April 26th--but you may still be able to enroll!
The Owies present: Saturday Morning Rock Out! April 26th- May 24th First Class: 10am-11:30am Second Class: 11:45-1:15pm
Saturday Morning Rock Out! is designed to spark an interest in music in young children (ages 4-7) by encouraging them to engage, interact, and have fun while creating songs with their peers and instructors. The children will form their own band and be responsible for all areas of it. Collectively they will name the band, write lyrics, develop a melody and arrangement, rehearse, design album art, and eventually perform the song at the cd release party held on the last class.
