Hey, hot pants, wanna see a great show? An unconventional, sometimes maddening, incomparably original rock opera cum cabaret based on a centuries-old tale of a warrior slaying a mighty beast (and his fearsome mother)?
Clearly we're not talking Wall-E. It's called Beowulf: One Thousand Years of Baggage and the story is about as old as your grandmother's hard candies. But, no matter. 'Cause the great artists of NYC's Banana Bag and Bodice have landed at our friend The Shotgun Players' Ashby Stage. It's an unreal theatrical experience--and it features the work of two of our members: Shaye Troha, who actos and sings and dances in the piece, and composer Dave Melloy, who wrote the amazing original music and also performs in the show. It's up for just one more week. Read more about it right here.
