The Player meets Cabin Fever in KML's world premiere comedic play Pure Shock Value, written by Matt Pelfrey and directed by Laley Lippard. Three film industry bottom-feeders--Ethan (Chris Yule), Tex (Justin Lamb), and Gabby (Erin Carter) --find
themselves on the brink of abandoning their Hollywood ambitions
when a chance encounter with a mysterious stranger (Calum Grant) inspires them to
give their dream movie project, Barking Spiders,
one last go. What
ensues is a surreal comedic journey through the underbelly of
Hollywood, far from Beverly Hills, three-picture deals, and anything else they could have ever expected. |
