Congratulations to Todd Berman and Lauren Girardin (pictured above), winners of the first annual water balloon toss at the second annual Killing My Lobster Subscriber Appreciation Picnic, held at Golden Gate Park on Sunday, June 15, 2003. it was a typically breezy San Francisco summer day, but the competition on the grass really heated up the environs. Todd and Lauren outducked, outmaneuvered, outclobbered the competitors, drowning both the playing field and the players on the field in no time flat! It was a show of great force, great emotion, and great teamwork -- and this sporty couple (both on and off the playing field!) really showed us nerds how to get the job done.

The rest of the glorious early summer afternoon found its fill of burgers cooked to perfection, hot dogs and some hot doggin' on the four square court, jokes shared between friends old and new, and a summertime end-of-the-afternoon-sing-along down by the big oak tree***. In short, a mighty fine time was had by all, and we eagerly look forward to more events such as these down the road.
