The hi/lo film festival presents films that you won't find at the multiplex. Films that are more smart than slick; films that privilege ideas above commerce: films that are high concept and low budget. Dedicated to presenting films from the Bay Area and around the world that exemplify the notion that great film making has more to do with big brains than fat wallets.
