Exciting News: Killing My Lobster to be in residency at Z Space!
Hello to our wonderful community!
On this, the blessed day of #KMLGivingTuesday25, we are finally ready to make an extra-special announcement. And here it is:
We are so excited that, after pausing operations during the summer of 2025, San Francisco's premiere sketch comedy company Killing My Lobster will make a triumphant return to the stage with a residency at Z Space in 2026!! We will be performing bimonthly in Z Below, producing our audience favorite, Sketch On Speed.
A KML residency at Z Space feels like a natural fit for both organizations, since we have many artists that are key members of both communities and we have a shared history (for those who may not know, KML used to perform at Z Below way back when). We’re looking at this first year as a pilot where we not only provide regular comedy performances at Z Space, but our two organizations will co-strategize around fundraising and programming and see how this exciting partnership might develop down the line.
As many Bay Area theater companies are struggling, we are joyous and grateful that Z Space remains available as a resource for risk-taking local theater makers. We are in agreement that this is an opportunity for independent performing arts organizations to come together in community, to support each other at a time when the arts remain under attack across the United States.
Killing My Lobster will still be performing their Writing and Acting class showcases as a collective member at Eclectic Box, but for Sketch on Speed, you can find Killing My Lobster at Z Below on the following dates (keep an eye out for tickets as they become available):
