Learn to write sketch comedy

Sketch Writing 1

Learn the fundamentals of sketch comedy and develop your comedic voice! Experienced KML writers provide personalized assignments and detailed feedback in a supportive, encouraging environment where all perspectives are welcome.

At the end of this 7-week writing course, KML actors will perform a staged reading of students' sketches!

Once you’ve completed Sketch Writing 1, you’ll qualify to enroll in this next-level course. Here, you’ll further build your writing skills by exploring a wider variety of sketch types and styles and receiving higher-level feedback.

Again, at the end of this 7-week course, KML actors will perform a staged reading of students' sketches!

Learn acting for sketch comedy

Sketch comedy Acting 1

Whether you are new to the stage, or a performer wishing to hone their comedy skills, Sketch Comedy Acting 1 will get you there. Learn stagecraft, build a toolbox of characters, and identify comedic patterns that will make your work shine. Students will also apply their new skills in a KML-style showcase for invited guests!

Sketch comedy Acting 2

Graduates of Sketch Acting 1 are now eligible to continue refining their talents with Sketch Acting 2. Widen your range, challenge your skillset, and take your comedic acting to the next level. Similar to Acting 1, students will perform in a KML-style showcase for invited guests!
